We are parents to two wonderful and lovely children, A & A. 

 

Watching them grow up, we have our joy and laughter, despite our frustrations and struggles. We want to provide our children healthy and nutritious meals to them and instil good eating habits.

Other than providing a variety of healthy food of different colours and textures, we learned that we need some handy tools to help our children eat better and healthier. No, we are not talking about YouTube videos to distract them while we get them to finish their food. Presentation is key to pique their interest and curiousity, encouraging them to explore and try the food in front of them.

Moritsuke, the Japanese art of food presentation, was a huge inspiration for us. Children in Japan bring their bento boxes to school and their food is usually arranged beautifully, in hope that children continue to eat healthily when they are away from their homes. Colourful and beautiful bento boxes are like mystery boxes for the children and they get excited, not knowing what is inside.
